We really enjoyed our experience here! We didn't know there would be a set menu which includes wine, soup, salad, lamb stew, with a choice of the entry, ice cream and coffee. It was very unique and we loved the story behind the restaurant. Food was good and came out quickly. Great service too!

omg! what a fun experience to just happen upon. such nice people. the beautiful dark haired hostess was so sweet and fun and efficient. despite large crowds this place know how to get you fed in a jiffy! as they were seating us and taking our drink order another was behind them with a large bowl of homemade soup that was delish with bread, but we had heard you needed to pace yourself here as the amount of food they bring is amazing. and it just keeps on coming....quickly. after soup they gave us our entree choices, there was about 10 options, they a salad was deliver, none of this was ordered it's just part of the family style menu. after salad we got a bowl,of the best beef stew and basque beans. a pitcher of ice water and a carafe or red wine was on the table. after all mentioned they our entrees arrived with the best platter full of French fries! topped off with generous portion of ice cream! I'd say the prices was cheap for all the food we got!

We did a short drive to Gardnerville from Reno and wanted to try an established restaurant in the area. JT Basque Bar & Dining Room in located in a historic building, and right when you walk in, you can see the memorabilia. Ask the bartender about the ceiling; it's part of a tradition. We went for lunch, and tried the lunch menu rather than the traditional family style meal. We definitely need to go back for the traditional faire, but we enjoyed the items on the lunch menu. The ice cream flavors change, so it's good to ask. Definitely a good note to end on. There's plenty of parking, and it's an easy establishment to find. We will try it again with a larger party.

JT's was amazing! We decided to go to celebrate my husband's promotion at work and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing and we were treated like family. We have two small kids who did amazing and the waiter was also attentive to them. I got the steak while my husband did the lamb chops. My steak was a little over cooked, but still tasted good. We will definitely be going back.
